updates slow in the making

It's taken awhile to get this update written, but due to the posting of my blog's link on Lauren's blog, I have to get my act in gear.

The cool thing is, I've been spending my weekends learning to tattoo, with my willing wife as my practice canvas (she's very brave and trusting, I know, I know). I started by filling in old work she'd had done years ago. There are roses, stems, and this moon and sun. I filled both in and added to each. The problem with the sun is the old ink is a lot darker than the yellow and orange I went over it with.

My first original piece that I did on her was of Leonard, my angel of death character from Can Hed Comix. He turned out really well, and inspired me to do further things.

After these I worked on a Mitch O'Connell design for the missus's upper left arm, and I also did an original pumpkin for my long-time friend Melissa.

I've also added my favorite singer, Morrissey, to my wife's other calf (opposite Leonard), and we designed an "M" for her neck.

And finally, here's the inside of a '57 Chevy Bel-Air. I took the picture and I just really like it.

I love that cat one! Seriously though, your wife is going to be covered in no time if you don't find some willing friends to tattoo...

Hey, Becca! She's a very willing canvas, but I know what you mean. Fortunately they're beginning to line up. Plenty of other willing souls to take the ink.
